The differences.(as diferenças)

When we compare(quando nós comparamos)

we say:(nós dizemos)

You're BETTER THAN(você está melhor que)

your friends.(seus amigos)

When we have the superlative(quando nós temos o superlativo)

we don't compare.(nós não comparamos)

I just tell you:(eu só digo a você)

You're THE BEST.(você é o melhor)

You tell me:(você me diz)

This neighborhood(este bairro)

is BIGGER THAN downtown.(é maior que o centro)

Or you can say:(ou você pode dizer)

This neighborhood(este bairro)

is THE BIGGEST in the city.(é o maior na cidade)

When we compare(quando nós comparamos)

we have:(nós temos)

BIGGER THAN(maior que)

When we have the superlative:(quando nós temos o superlativo)

THE BIGGEST(o maior)
