Hello, my friend! How are you? If you're out of time or "in a rush", go to the last paragraph of this text for a fast answer.
In times of immediate responses and connection 24 hours a day, talking about long-term transformation is a risk! But… at Você Aprende Agora we believe you can (and must!) dream big, and make a daily effort to get better every day. This is our mission - seeing you speaking English and being a Leader wherever you go. "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" was written by John Maxwell in 1998, and its goal is to improve your skills as a Leader.
Last classes we talked about the first 7 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership:
1- Law of the Lid;
2- Law of Influence;
3- Law of Process;
4- Law of Navigation;
5- Law of Addition;
6- Law of Solid Ground;
7- Law of Respect.
The chapter we study now is called "The Law of Intuition". According to Maxwell, leaders look at things differently than others do, and it has a lot to do with how they understand other people's feelings. "Intuition helps leaders sense what's happening among people and know their hopes, fears, and concerns", says the author. But, how can we have more intuition?
Maxwell suggests 3 things, and the first one you can do here in our platform:
1- Read books on relationships: you can watch our videos if you prefer. Click on "classes" and select the books you prefer.
2- Engage more people in conversations: invite people to talk, join conversations and listen carefully.
3- Become a people watcher: body language can tell you a lot. Start seeing these details.
Pay attention to people. Once you start seeing people's faces and their body language, you improve your people's skills and, therefore, your ability to recognize the best ones to do each task. You start reading people, you feel them. Have you ever done it? How does your mom deal with intuition? Comment here and see you next class!
